Our Center
Our Playgrounds
At Sagebrush, we consider outdoor space an extension of the classroom. We spend four to five hours outside per day (with lots of sunscreen, of course!). We have a total of four playgrounds that offer developmentally appropriate opportunities for children to engage with nature, move their bodies and explore multi-sensory experiences.

Our Classrooms
Our indoor space embraces the Reggio Emilia philosophy of creating an environment that feels like an extension of the home. We display photos of our children at play and the things they create to model how we all contribute to the community of the classroom.

Roadrunner
Our Roadrunner classroom welcomes children ages 24 to 28 months. We begin to establish the roots of strong self-help and social-emotional skills through exploration and experiential learning. Children learn to dress themselves, begin identifying common colors and shapes and begin advocating for their needs by asking for a turn with a toy or more snack.
-
Squirrel
Children typically enter the Squirrel class between 28 and 30 months. Many begin and even master toilet learning during their time in this room. We strengthen our fine motor skills through sensory play and continue to enhance our capacity to wait our turn, ask for help and recognize familiar songs and stories.
-
Honeybee
As children get closer to age four in the Honeybee room, they participate in routines and activities that mirror a kindergarten classroom. We begin name recognition, counting up to 10 and walking in a line. We recognize when we need to use the restroom and can advocate for our needs with familiar adults.
-
Monarch
Kindergarten, here we come! Most Monarchs are close to five years of age and are ready to attend to an adult-led activity at circle time for up to 20 minutes. They can navigate conflicts with peers with little to no intervention from adults, can label common emotions, and recognize familiar words, including numbers up to ten.
